HIMALAYAN POPULAR LECTURE SERIES*

"HIMALAYAN POPULAR LECTURE SERIES" – This initiative, launched in year 2014, is to connect and involve a crucial, wider section of the society, i.e. resource persons with practical wisdom (e.g. scholars, practitioners, activists, artists, grassroot-level workers, planners, community leaders, etc.), who have worked in/ for the Himalaya beyond the knowledge of science and logic. This dedicated platform also brings forth practical wisdom with specific competencies, which may help combatting with unattended serious environmental issues. Followed by sharing resource persons' thoughts and experiences with the policy planners, as a general practice in each each lecture, a debate-cum-discussion session will bring forth pertinent, thought-provoking, strategic solutions that can play pivotal roles in ensuring sustainable development in the IHR.
